About the author
Owen P. Blickensderfer is a farm boy who grew up in Mott, North Dakota. He met his wife while
living in the South American jungle where he worked as an aircraft mechanic for a missionary
organization. He farmed for a few years after moving his family back to Mott. Owen writes a
weekly column that appears in several newspapers. He is currently the maintenance man at the
Mott Good Samaritan Center, one of the finest nursing homes in the nation. His skills include
making a dull, boring life seem exciting and dangerous, through the magic of story-telling.
