About the book

"Owen's Pretty Good Book" is a collection of stories written by Owen Blickensderfer. These stories have been entertaining residents of Mott and surrounding communities for more than ten years. His "Specific Observations on Life in General" are regular features in several area newspapers. Owen's perspective on life is decidedly "outside the box." This book covers topics as wide ranging as science, childhood memories, Owen's life experiences, marriage, parenting and the spectrum of human emotions.

You won't be able to put it down once you get started! It is a book for adults, and yet you can read the stories to your second grade child and she will beg for more. If your fifth grader reads it for his oral book report, the other kids in the class will want to read it too. Delightful and uplifting are two words that come close to describing Owen's Pretty Good Book.
-
It has more than sixty photographs! A five-year-old can amuse herself for half an hour just by looking at the pictures.
-
Stories about a North Dakota farm boy living in South America with jungle natives will keep you and your family spellbound.

-

It's about growing up, leaving home, going to college, striking out into a big, big world. It is a book about farming.

Owen's Pretty Good Book is a humorous look at life in general. It is for everyone. When you have finished the book, your face will have a silly grin and you will buy one for your brother-in-law for Christmas. It is rare to find a book like that these days. -
